We are excited to announce that our August, 2009, Suncoast Chapter meeting will feature guest speaker:
John Sage, PMP
PMI OPM3 Consultant
John has more than thirty years of project management experience within Information Technology. Throughout his career, he has led successful projects with the St. Petersburg Times, Kennedy Space Center, City of St. Petersburg, St. Anthony’s Hospital, Honeywell Information Systems, DATAPOINT Corporation and currently AEGON - to name a few. In 2009, John was invited to PMI headquarters in Pennsylvania to participate in the first OPM3 Consultant training and testing. He received four days of intense training and passed the test to become a PMI OPM3 Consultant.
John has been a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 1997 and achieved a PMP certification in 2004. John is a project team member of PMI’s OPM3 (Organizational Project Management Maturity Model) next version (2008) project. John has implemented OPM3 within AEGON’s I.T. division and managed their Process Improvement Team.
John was co-founder of the Microsoft Project Users Group - Tampa Chapter, implementing a lab format utilizing simulation and hands on activity which replaced the traditional lecture format. This format is now being proposed as a standard for all MPUG chapters.
